Topeka Botox®

What is Botox®?

Botox® injections relax facial muscles to treat minor imperfections in the skin, including laughter lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet and acne scars. With results lasting for up to four months, Kansas Botox® is an alternative to more invasive cosmetic surgeries.

Botox® — a trade name for botulinum toxin type A, also known as onabotulinumtoxinA — is the fastest-growing cosmetic procedure in the United States. The staff at the Baraban Board Certified Plastic & Constructive Surgeon office is ready to meet the demand for Botox® in Topeka; Botox® in Lawrence; Botox® in Manhattan; Botox® in Kansas City, MO; Botox® in Kansas City, KS; and Botox® in Olathe. Please contact the office today to discover more details about the benefits of Kansas Botox®.

Is Botox® Right for Me?

Botox® in Topeka is considered a very effective way to remedy the signs of aging, especially wrinkles. Most Kansas Botox® patients are between the ages of 35 and 60 and generally choose the procedure to avoid more intensive surgeries, such as facelifts and forehead lifts. Or they may select Botox® in KS as an additional procedure to enhance the results of a cosmetic surgery.

The most popular reasons for using Topeka Botox® include:

  • Forehead creases
  • Crow’s feet around the eyes
  • Frown and laugh lines extending from the nose to the corners of the mouth

There are other types of lines and wrinkles that can be treated with Botox®. However, wrinkles caused by gravity or sun exposure will not respond to the injections because these creases are created by the skin, not by the underlying muscles.

Dr. Baraban welcomes questions about the procedure at his Topeka office, where his experience has helped hundreds of area patients with Lawrence Botox® and Manhattan Botox®. His board-certified skills have also benefitted men and women looking for Kansas City, MO, Botox®; Kansas City, KS, Botox®; and Olathe Botox®.

How is Topeka Botox® Performed?

Because the procedure requires no anesthesia and typically takes less than an hour, Botox® in Topeka can be done right in your doctor’s office. At the start of the procedure, a fine needle is used to inject the Botox® solution into the targeted area, causing controlled weakening of the muscles. The toxin — which is a dilute form of botulinum, the cause of botulism poisoning in food — blocks nerve impulses to the injected muscles, reducing the activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form. Although most people choose Botox® in Topeka to relieve the signs of aging, your doctor can also use Botox® to ease physical conditions such as lazy eye and uncontrolled blinking.

Because Botox® requires a prescription, it is important that you speak with a board-certified professional like Dr. Baraban. You want the best possible surgeon to perform your Topeka Botox®, Lawrence Botox® and Manhattan Botox®. If you are looking for Botox® treatments in Eastern Kansas, please schedule a consultation today with the Baraban office to learn more about the procedure. What is Recovery Like After Botox®?

Botox® is often referred to as a “lunchtime procedure” because there is very little downtime. Unlike most cosmetic procedures, Topeka Botox® injections allow you to continue with your normal daily routine almost immediately. These injections do not require bandages over the treated area, and most patients don’t take more than an afternoon off from work. Temporary bruising and headaches may occur for a day or two following the procedure, and you should not rub the treated area for 12 hours nor lay down for three to four hours. Other possible side effects include numbness or tingling around the injection site.

Botox® typically reduces wrinkles by 80 percent, with results most noticeable one to two weeks after the procedure. The effects usually last about four months, but you can undergo small “top-up” injections two or three times a year. Without follow-up procedures, the muscles will slowly regain their ability to contract, causing the wrinkles to reappear. However, even when the full effects have worn off, the remaining lines will not be as deep as before.

What are Topeka Botox® Costs?

Topeka Botox® prices average about $350 to $400 per visit. This cost depends on the amount of Botox® required for the targeted area.
